Principal's Message
Dear Families and Community Members of Bell,
My name is Patricia Ponce, and I am honored to have served the Bell–Maywood community for the past 10 years. Over this time, I have developed a deep commitment to academic excellence, believing strongly that every student can thrive—especially when educators and families collaborate closely.
I am truly passionate about helping every student achieve academically. From reading and writing to mathematics, science, and beyond, my goal is for each child to grow not only academically but also socially—learning to communicate their needs effectively and treat peers with respect.
As we embark on the 2025–2026 school year, I am enthusiastic and eager to witness the tremendous progress our students will make. At Corona Elementary, I look forward to partnering with our dedicated staff to create powerful academic outcomes. Our team is committed to excellence, and together we will make a significant impact on student success.
I believe strongly in working collaboratively with families, which is why we will host numerous parent workshops and family events throughout the year. These are designed to provide multiple pathways for all families to engage with our school community and support their children’s learning.
Although we are navigating challenging times, please rest assured that the Corona staff is continuously working to ensure your children remain safe, supported, and academically engaged while at school.

Estimadas familias y miembros de la comunidad de Bell:
Mi nombre es Patricia Ponce y me siento muy honrada de servir a la comunidad de Bell–Maywood durante los últimos diez años. A lo largo de este tiempo, he cultivado un fuerte compromiso con la excelencia académica, convencida de que cada estudiante puede prosperar cuando educadores y familias trabajan en conjunto.
Me apasiona ayudar a todos los estudiantes a alcanzar el éxito académico. Desde la lectura y la escritura hasta las matemáticas, la ciencia y otras áreas, mi meta es que cada niño crezca tanto académica como socialmente: aprendiendo a comunicar sus necesidades de manera efectiva y a tratar a sus compañeros con respeto.
Al comenzar el año escolar 2025‑2026, estoy entusiasmada por presenciar el gran progreso que los estudiantes realizarán. En Corona Elementary, espero colaborar con nuestro dedicado personal para generar resultados académicos significativos. Nuestro equipo está comprometido con la excelencia, y unidos, marcaremos una diferencia en el éxito estudiantil.
Creo firmemente en la colaboración con las familias, y por ello ofreceremos numerosos talleres para padres y eventos familiares durante todo el año. Están diseñados para brindar múltiples oportunidades a todas las familias de participar activamente en nuestra comunidad escolar y apoyar el aprendizaje de sus hijos.
Aunque atravesamos tiempos difíciles, quiero que sepan que el personal de Corona trabaja de manera continua para garantizar que sus hijos estén seguros, apoyados y comprometidos académicamente durante su estancia en la escuela.
Por favor, acompáñenme para hacer de este año escolar un éxito. Juntos compartimos un propósito: que todos los estudiantes logren su máximo potencial.
